In the Cup semi-final the Knights lost to Belfast Star 82-61, a reversal of the recent league match which Kilkeel won 85-60; in the Cup match Star had some players from their National League team who helped them to victory after the match was tied at half time.

Kilkeel Knights had Belfast Star as visitors

Kilkeel Knights had Belfast Star as visitors on Sunday in the Basketball NI Wingfoot Premier League and came away with the win 85 points to 60. It was a good week for the Knights with a midweek away win in Dungannon v DLT 88 to 87.

 

On Saturday at 6pm the Kilkeel Knights entertain Magherafelt Titans at Dunavil and they can go top as DLT Falcons and North Star meet at the weekend.

Kilkeel Knights basketball team beat Armagh Bisons 101 to 49 at Dunavil on Saturday past; they are back at Dunavil this Saturday v Phoenix in the Cup Quarter-finaland on Sunday v Dungannon in a rearranged league fixture.

Kilkeel Knights basketball team beat Queens 61 to 60 at Dunavil on Saturday past; they are back at Dunavil on Saturday v Armagh Bisons; and on 31st January playPhoenix in the Cup Quarter-final again at Dunavil.

Knights lost narrowly in Letterkenny

In basketball the Knights lost narrowly in Letterkenny 90 points to 86. They are at home for their next three fixtures all 6pm on Saturdays: 17th January v Queens, 24th January v Armagh Bisons, both in the league; and on 31st January v Phoenix in the Cup Quarter-final.

Basketball Camp was a big success

The Basketball Camp was a big success last week with all the children wanting to repeat it, thanks to community coaches Sherman Hall and Dave Tierney and they may be back before the end of August.
